Mötley Crüe Camden, New Jersey Susquehanna Bank Center

All bad things must come to an end! That is the slogan that is read on all advertisements for the final tour of Motley Crue. I was lucky enough to attend one of their final shows in the United States at the Susquehanna Bank Center in Camden, New Jersey on August 25, 2014. It was a Saturday night and the place was definitely rocking. Before Motley Crue came on, there was an opening act. This guy goes by the name of Alice Cooper. I had never seen Alice Cooper before so this was kind of nice opening act to have at the show. He was surprisingly very enjoyable to see for his age. He still does all the same routines he did as if it was 1985. After that, Motley Crue came out and just rocked the place with authority.

Being a fan of Motley Crue, this is a bittersweet moment for me because I was able to see these guys again, but it will also be my last time seeing them. And boy did they go out with a bang! The way the show was set up was absolutely insane. From having Tommy Lee’s drum set attached to what looked like a roller coaster, to a stage they had by the lawn so all the people in the back could see them up close. That is where they finished the set with a nice way of saying goodbye by playing “Home Sweet Home.” They just played their fucking hearts out. You could tell that when they were playing “Home Sweet Home,” it’s getting more and more hard for them now that the tour is almost done and they won’t be able to play together anymore. I have seen the Crue a few times and this was by far the best show I’ve been to of theirs. They just gave so much energy when they were performing.

If you have ever been to a Motley Crue show before, you know that it isn’t exactly rated PG. This is a show with a lot of “Girls, Girls, Girls.” Lots of freaky women at these shows and not to mention the women that they already have on stage with them. Those guys gave us such a great sound for a four piece band that was constantly rocking and enjoyable to listen to. Motley Crue gave us so many awesome songs to listen to over the years. I want to personally thank them for sticking around as long as they did and supplying me with their great music. All four of them will go down in history as one of the best hard rock bands out there.

Overall, Motley Crue is one of the funnest and most entertaining concerts you will ever attend. Those guys are awesome and I am glad I got the chance to see them one last time. But who knows what the future holds. They did sign a contract saying they will never tour again, but when you are a member of Motley Crue, rules never apply and they are meant to be broken!

Concert Rating: 9/10 (Must Attend!)
