The Spongebob Movie: Sponge Out Of Water (2015)

“Oh, who lives in a Pineapple under the sea?” Anyone who is a fan of Spongebob will love this! We meet a pirate named Burger – Beard (Antonio Banderas). He travels to an island to find a book. Whatever you write in the book will come true. Under the sea in Bikini Bottom, Plankton is trying once again to steal the Krabby Patty formula from the Krusty Krab. Plankton has a very good plan to capture the formula this time and while he is almost out of the Krusty Krab, Spongebob notices that he has the formula and the two of them fight over it until it vanishes in their hands. Spongebob cannot make Krabby Patty’s without this. According to the contract Mr. Krabs gave him, he is never permitted to memorize the formula. The whole town of Bikini Bottom starts to deteriorate very slowly because of all the riots. Spongebob and his whole crew of Bikini Bottom have to go out on a quest to find the Crabby Patty Formula that is nowhere to be found. They need to go above sea and find who stole the formula.

This is a movie that really takes you back to your childhood. I grew up with Spongebob so I was really excited to see this movie. The whole movie was just like a very long episode of Spongebob. You were never bored for a second and you laugh at all the silly nonsense that goes on. After the success of the first movie in 2004, it was inevitable that we would see a sequel. After seeing this, I now prefer the sequel over the first one.

The writing of the movie was really good. This movie was directed by Paul Tibbitt. He is the one who directed the original Spongebob episodes before the show took a bad turn. I knew this would be as good as the old Spongebob episodes because he was involved. All the characters were funny as usual. Especially dumb Patrick, who had you laughing the whole time.

The Spongebob Movie: Sponge Out Of Water is a film that is great for all families. A lot of children grow up watching Spongebob and this is perfect for them. Even at my age I find myself sometimes watching in on Nickelodeon. Having said all that, it was hard to go into this movie with high expectations, but it did not disappoint. I was very happy with the way it turned out.

Overall, The Spongebob Movie: Sponge Out Of Water is something that the whole family can enjoy. From its silly humor to its drama. I definitely think all Spongebob fans will enjoy this one.
