The Hobbit: The Battle Of Five Armies (2014)

Here’s the last movie of a good series that you might want to check out. Immediately after the second movie ended, Smaug (Benedict Cumberbatch) breaks out of the castle he is in and is now free. He is killed shortly after that. Thorin (Richard Armitage) decides he needs to go and take back his throne. This does not make Thranduil (Lee Pace) very happy. Thranduil decides to go to war against Thorin. Bilbo (Martin Freeman) and the rest of the crew need to also help fight. Thorin and Bilbo’s crew could definitely lose this war. The Orc’s now step up and get involved, leaving a lot of chaos and making this war very hard to be won. Bilbo who still has the ring, wants to just keep it safe and get back home with it.

First off, I don’t think there should have been three Hobbit movies. They could have been just one long movie. I thought the first one was pretty bad, but the second and third were very good. Peter Jackson should have gone about this differently, but I still did enjoy the anticipation for the second and third movie to come out. I was very entertained by this movie and was never bored. I do wish Smaug wasn’t killed off so fast because I love Benedict Cumberbatch. I think that dude is awesome.

This movie may have been the best in the series. I thought it was completely action-packed and never made you bored. It was definitely a nice ending to the series. This movie was just a lot of fun and very exciting. It is a very good movie watching experience and I am kind of sad the series is over. It is hard to believe that Peter Jackson made a 300 page book into about eight hours of movie time. He did, however, give us a movie that keeps you entertained throughout the whole time you are watching it.

The only real problem I have with these movies are that The Lord Of The Rings trilogy were so much better and it’s not even close. I thought that making the Hobbit series would be a whole other Lord Of The Rings. Sadly, this did not happen. I really enjoyed this movie, but the outcome was not nearly as satisfying as Lord Of The Rings. There is absolutely no comparison between the two series at all. As much as I enjoyed this movie and the second movie, I just can’t bring myself to thinking this series was better than Lord Of The Rings.

Overall, The Hobbit: The Battle Of Five Armies was a movie that is completely action-packed and was a very fun and enjoyable watching experience. This was definitely the best movie from the series and I definitely recommend giving this one a look.

Grade= B+ (Very Good!)
