Furious 7 (2015)

Here’s a new release that I have been looking forward to seeing for a while. The whole Fast gang is back for round seven of this franchise. Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham), is a thug who killed one of their friends. Dominick Torretto (Vin Diesel) and Brian O’Conner (Paul Walker) want to get vengeance on Shaw. There is only one way they know how to do this; fast cars and a lot of flying bullets. Before they can do all that, they are presented with a proposal from a special agent (Kurt Russel). Dominick and Brian need to retrieve a piece of software that the government uses. The software was stolen from a terrorist named Jakande (Djimon Hounsou). If Dominick and Brian can do this, they are granted permission to get revenge in any possible way they can and take down Shaw. There are other problems with Dominick and Brian. Dominick can not get his wife to remember their past together. Brian’s wife also wants him to stop trying to live the “fast” life and become a family man.

First off, this is the seventh movie of the Fast And The Furious installments. I feel like these films only get better and better. They did take a rough patch after the first one for a few movies, but the last three have been excellent. I thought that this movie was filled with so much energy, loudness, and pure awesomeness. You need to know that you are getting yourself into hearing nothing but cheesy lines from the whole cast. Furious 7 is a film that is exactly the action packed movie that you want to see. You see nonstop airborne cars and awesome fight scenes. This is by far, the most exciting movie of the year so far.

The cast for this movie is outstanding. The amount of great chemistry that they have and can hold together is great. I mean really, how could they not have such a great chemistry after filming all these movies. Actors like Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, provide so many laughs and awesome scenes by what they do and say. You even have to love Luda in these films. Simply put, the whole entire cast is just awesome. I will say that director, James Wan absolutely knows what he is doing with these films. He has been on a role lately with them and he is absolutely on point with this film. I’ve learned to love him after seeing these films and The Conjuring.

Furious 7 is a movie that has this constant, relentless beat to it that always leaves you on the edge of your seat wanting to freak out at some of the awesome and heart dropping scenes it provides you. You do not even notice that Dwayne Johnson is missing from a lot of this movie because when he shows up he absolutely kills it and makes it so much more awesome than it already is. Know going into this movie that you are getting 140 minutes on nonstop action. The visuals of this film are absolutely insane and the stunt work is insanely good. This is definitely an action film I can’t recommend more.

Overall, Furious 7 is a fun, energetic, and completely entertaining and also over-the-top movie that keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole time. I can’t tell you enough to check this out if you are a fan of the franchise. This one knocks it out of the park.

This review is dedicated to the face of these movies, Paul Walker!
